In the past, we used to set slightly more challenging papers and it was the norm that the passing rates were not impressive. But I realized many of our students seemed to take it very well when they did badly for CAs and Exams. I mean, I often see many students laughing at each other for failing together.
I took it as they have high AQ (Adversity Quotient).
Lately, I think I am proven wrong.
We just had a really manageable CA. For some classes, we even have near to 80% getting A grade. Even for the weaker classes, (so far) I see there are only about 1 to 3 failures within a class.
I observed something. Those who had failed this time felt really bad.
My hypothesis :
As long as they are amongst the majority, they feel fine. They feel fine even when they know their situation is of much concern. Maybe because they know many people (not just himself/herself alone) will have to work hard together, anyway.

Of course, we are working towards 100% pass with good grades.
So everyone is in the good majority and everyone will be feeling great. :o)

I am also thinking...
- Were we ever in a situation that we know it is not too nice/appropriate/good.. (deep in our hearts), yet we tell ourselves it is okay, because other people also like that what? Mm..
- Since we pride ourselves as good individuals, we were ever in a situation that we know (deep in our hearts) that the majority is not too nice/appropriate/good.. , and we take it as our responsibility to rectify it in the bestest approach?
