Line Skating (I) ..

After so many postponing, so much waiting, the line-skating course had finally started today. Wahoo..

This afternoon was my first time on the blade. Naturally, I was very excited. I put on all the gears anyhow without being instructed, only to realize later I wore most of them wrongly. Of course, we know knee guards go to the knees, elbow guards go to the elbows, but putting on a wrist guards can be quite an art. Topping up with a helmet, and we were ready to go.

Nay. Think so easy is it??!! You try stand on wheels for the first time. Haha..

We were guided professionally how to get up.
(Silly me got up anyhow before the instructions but don’t dare to anyhow move. But if we were to follow the instructions, the getting-up can be done more gracefully.)

We were guided professionally how to break a fall.
(With the protective guards on, falling down the right way can be quite fun. Try imagine almost slamming ourselves forward on a hard cement floor and yet feeling nothing.)

The session of stances, postures, V-Walk and gliding ended too soon. Mm..
But it was enjoyable and I’m really looking forward to the next training session. Of course, of course, with quite a few people I know learning together, the fun is doubled, tripled.. :o)

Oh, by the way, quite funny. The trainer didn’t believe it was my first time on the wheels. And he left a one-word comment on the training booklet : Wow!
And he added verbally when he passed the booklet back to me, “I have only one word for you. You are doing very well.”

What a compliment. Haha.. Thanks lor.

Actually, I am still a little phobic about falling. I know I can be rather accident-prone most of the time.

I think I can see that in the not-too-far future to come, I shall be comfortably gliding on wheels. I suddenly thought of 哪吒. Haha.. So I think I shall be getting a fiery red pair of line-skating-blades soon to match my wild imagination. :P

很贴切,很简单,却很难实行的道理,(ps, i refer to you last part).. 。

looks like you are having fun with skating, keke, make me want to learn it too..

i realise something different about you and some other people of your same age, somehow, you managed to be positive, and then be young, and perhaps its because of you 心境,that makes you the way you are..

Hi, there are many places conducting courses for skating. Usually at CCs or at East Coast Park region (I heard). Just keep a look out. :o)
