Have Someone Lately Told Us ... ?

Some silly scenarios I thought of today .

(A) When a person comes to us and tell us how wonderful we are ...
(i) We are really wonderful.
(ii) We need not be wonderful, but the person saying the praise is, as a wonderful person sees everything to be wonderful.
(iii) Both, that person and us need not be wonderful, as the person is basically a hypocrite.
(iv) Both are wonderful people coming together.

(B) When a person comes to us and tell us our shortcoming ...
(i) We really have the shortcoming. Be thankful, accept it and learn to change. This person certainly plays a part in our progress.
(ii) We need not have the shortcoming, but the person saying it may have a "problem", as a "problematic" person sees everything to be "problematic".
(iii) Both are just "problematic" people coming together.
(iv) Both are still wonderful people, with one ever willing to change, and the other ever willing to help.

(C) When no one comes to us and tell us how wonderful we are ...
(i) We may have a problem.
(ii) We are wonderful but our company just isn't observant enough.
(iii) The environment is just so negative and "positive stroke" doesn't exist.

(D) When no one comes to us and tell us our shortcoming ...
(i) We are really wonderful and perfect.
(ii) We are just not approachable enough and no one really tells us something that "intimate".
(iii) We do have shortcomings, just that people around us do not really wish to hurt us and we go on thinking that we are pretty wonderful.

- - - -

A(iv) and B(iv) are simply amazing.
C(iii) and D(iii) are just kind of... erm... sad.

These are just some silly scenarios and shallow opinions, and certainly not exhaustive.

The bottom-line is still, we are who we are.
Unless we make an effort to improve, if not we will always remain where we are or even glide further down. When we really are into improving ourselves, people around us will be our "guardians" and "angels". Their comments and reactions may act as "indicators" of what kind of people we are.
